Billing

Billing and superbills

How sessions are paid for, and how self-pay clients get a superbill to claim out-of-network reimbursement from their insurer.

With insurance

Insurance claims are filed through Headway, the practice’s insurance-billing partner. Headway checks your coverage, submits each claim and charges any copay or coinsurance to the card in your Headway account. No referral is required.

Paying yourself

Self-pay session fees are billed by the practice through the client portal. To ask about self-pay rates, call (360) 342-6445 or send a message.

Superbills for out-of-network reimbursement

A superbill is an itemized receipt — dates of service, service and diagnosis codes, and fees — that you submit to your insurer. Many plans pay part of an out-of-network session fee.

Superbills are for self-pay clients. If your sessions are billed to insurance, your receipts come from your Headway account.

Have portal access? Ask there.

Open the Billing tab in your client portal and press Request a superbill. It starts a secure message to the practice with the request already written.
