His story

Psychiatry built on genuine connection

Nicholas Eddy is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with specialized training in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions. He founded Northwest Psychiatry LLC with a clear mission: make high-quality psychiatric care accessible to everyone in Maine, regardless of where they live.

As a fully telepsychiatric practice, Nicholas meets clients via secure video — eliminating the barriers of distance, commute, and wait times that too often delay people from getting the support they need.

His approach is integrative and collaborative: combining medication management when appropriate with therapy, mindfulness, and goal-oriented strategies — all tailored to the individual in front of him.

Northwest Psychiatry currently serves clients throughout Maine, with plans to expand services to Washington State in 2027 — further extending access to compassionate psychiatric care across the Pacific Northwest.

“Every person deserves care that meets them where they are — thoughtful, unhurried, and built around their unique story.”

Nicholas Eddy, PMHNP-BC

How I work

A thoughtful, whole-person approach

“Healing is not linear — it’s a conversation.”

01

Listen first

Every appointment begins with genuine curiosity about your experience. Nicholas takes the time to understand your history, your goals, and what hasn't worked before — so nothing is prescribed in a vacuum.

02

Collaborate on a plan

Treatment isn't something done to you — it's developed with you. Whether that means medication, therapy techniques, lifestyle adjustments, or a combination, the path forward is always one you understand and agree with.

03

Adapt and evolve

Mental health is not static. Regular check-ins allow the plan to evolve as you do — adjusting medications, refining strategies, and celebrating progress along the way.
