Maine crisis resources

Help in Maine, right now.

Maine has real, free crisis support — statewide lines, mobile crisis teams, and specialized helplines. All of it is confidential.

In immediate danger? Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Statewide crisis lines

Every line below is free and confidential.

Mobile crisis services

Maine funds mobile crisis teams that can come to you — at home, at school, or in the community — for face-to-face support during a mental health crisis, often as an alternative to the emergency room. Access is through the Maine Crisis Line (1-888-568-1112): describe what's happening and they can dispatch the team covering your county. Crisis stabilization units (short-term, voluntary) are also arranged through the same line.

Specialized support

Focused help lines — every one free and confidential.
